Data Deletion Instructions

This page explains how to request deletion of personal information held by NexusAgents.
Who to contact
The correct route depends on your relationship to the Service.
If you are a NexusAgents Customer (a business with a NexusAgents workspace), you may request deletion of your workspace and its associated data by emailing privacy@nexusagents.co.za from the email address associated with your account, or by contacting us through your account dashboard. Please include your business name and workspace identifier. We will verify your identity before acting on the request.
If you are a customer of a business that uses NexusAgents — for example, if you have exchanged WhatsApp messages with a business whose messaging is managed through our platform — your personal information is processed by that business as the Responsible Party under the Protection of Personal Information Act, 2013 (POPIA).
NexusAgents acts only as an Operator on that business’s instructions and cannot delete your information without their authorisation. Please direct your request to the business you were communicating with. If you are unsure how to reach them, contact us at privacy@nexusagents.co.za and we will assist you in identifying the correct Responsible Party where we are able to do so.
What deletion covers
On verified request, we delete the personal information associated with the account or data subject concerned, including contact records, conversation history, and related workspace data held in our production systems.
Timeframe
We aim to acknowledge deletion requests within 5 business days and to complete verified deletions within 30 days.
Retention exceptions
Certain information may be retained after deletion where we are required or permitted to do so by law, including records necessary to comply with legal or regulatory obligations, to establish, exercise or defend legal claims, or to prevent fraud and abuse. Residual copies may persist in encrypted backups for a limited period in accordance with our backup and disaster-recovery cycle, after which they are overwritten. Such copies are not used for any operational purpose.
